This is an example of the report layout, not a full report or current information about the cities. It shows the comparison format and does not recommend a city.

The report brings together available public information on costs and day-to-day life in the cities you choose. You can compare this information with your budget and plans before buying tickets, paying a rental deposit, or hiring professional help.

  • We use available public sources.
  • We show when sources were checked and the limits of the data.
  • We review the report manually before sending it.

The form asks only for the information needed to review your request.

You choose the countries and cities. We research each selected city in detail.

We do not recommend which country or city to choose. You choose the countries and cities for your report, and we research each selected city in detail across all relevant topics, taking the relevant conditions and available sources into account. If you choose more than one city, we compare the information we find so you can see the differences and make your own decision.

  • One country: 1–3 cities

You choose one to three cities in one country. We prepare a detailed analysis of each city. If you choose more than one, we compare the findings across the topics they have in common.

  • Two countries

You choose two countries. To give the comparison a consistent basis, we use the capital of each one. We research the available information about both cities in detail, taking the conditions and sources in each country into account, and then show the results side by side.

For people choosing a city to move to

Before you move, it can be difficult to picture what everyday life in a new city will be like. A general impression is not enough when the decision will affect your expenses and daily routine.

You can request a report for one adult or a family of two adults, with or without children. For a move with children, we also look at schools, daycare, nanny services, and activities, which shape the whole family's daily routine.

Family Move Fit helps you see the practical differences between your chosen cities in advance and weigh them against your plans.

What we research in the cities you choose

Choose a section to see what we research, why it matters before you move, and what information your report will include.

Which costs do we research for each city?

What we research
We look for published rent, deposits, other move-in charges, local public transport fares, and visa fees. For families with children, we also collect published school, daycare, nanny service, and activity costs.
Why it matters
Rent is only one part of the cost. Some payments recur, while others are due at the start of the move. Seeing them separately makes it easier to understand how much money you may need in the first few months.
What you get
The report groups costs by city and separates recurring from one-off expenses. For housing, it shows rent alongside the deposits, fees, and payment terms we found.

What can you learn about everyday life?

What we research
We look at local public transport and leisure options for adults, including cultural events, sports, entertainment, and other ways to spend free time. For families with children, we also research schools, daycare, nanny services, activities, clubs, and family leisure.
Why it matters
Transport affects daily travel and the time spent getting around. Schools, daycare, activities, and clubs shape a family's routine. Leisure information shows what we found for adults and children to do in their free time.
What you get
The report presents this information separately for each city: transport and adult leisure for every request, plus schools, daycare, nanny services, children's activities, clubs, and family leisure when children are moving.

What do we research about healthcare, safety, and the urban environment?

What we research
We look for hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities, including private providers. For insurance, we research local and international insurers, agencies, brokers, and their publicly available plans, including rates, coverage, provider networks, and payment and reimbursement terms. We also collect city-level data on crime, climate, natural events common to the region, and the urban environment.
Why it matters
Before you move, it helps to understand what medical facilities and insurance options exist in the city. Information on crime, climate, natural events, and the urban environment helps you picture everyday life and compare local conditions with your routines, wellbeing, and plans.
What you get
For each city, the report shows the medical facilities and insurance options we found, including published rates and key terms. Crime, climate, natural events common to the region, and the urban environment are covered separately. We do not calculate a personalized insurance premium or recommend a policy.

How do we compare cities and show where the data comes from?

What we research
When a report covers more than one city, we compare them using the same practical questions. Before information is included, we check that it is current as of the research date and supported by reliable sources. The report shows where the data came from and when each source was checked.
Why it matters
The comparison helps you plan for the move and the first few months. It covers more than rent and groceries, bringing in transport, internet, healthcare, insurance and, for families with children, schools, daycare, nanny services, and activities. This gives your family a fuller picture of the costs ahead.
What you get
The report gives you a clear comparison of the selected cities using the same topics. Key costs and everyday living conditions are brought together in one place, helping you see the overall picture and build a more realistic spending plan for your family.

We check the data and review the finished report

The information we collect does not go straight into the report. We check it, keep only what we can confirm, organize the material, and present it clearly. Before delivery, a person reviews the finished report again. The link opens a specially prepared sample. Its data and monetary figures are illustrative: they are not current information or the results of real research.

Upfront and monthly costs

At the start of a move, you need to plan for both one-off costs and payments that will recur each month.

Looking at these costs separately gives you a clearer picture of what lies ahead and helps you compare them with your budget and plans.

The report groups costs by category and shows them separately for each selected city. Each figure appears with the conditions stated in its source, making it easier to compare with your budget.

*The ranges are illustrative and show how cost categories may be presented. They are not tied to specific cities or reports, are not current or fixed prices, and should not be treated as a ready-made budget. We research figures for the selected cities separately and show when we checked each source.

From request to completed report

Submitting the form sends your request to us for review. It does not mean we have accepted it.

  1. You complete the request form

You choose the request format, countries and cities for the report, then tell us who is moving.

  2. We review your request

Within one working day, we review your request and email you to say whether we can accept it. If we can, the same email gives the price and tells you how long we expect it will take to prepare the report.

  3. You pay for the report

We begin the research after payment.

  4. We research the cities

We research each selected city using the same set of practical questions. If you choose more than one city, we compare the information we find. The report does not recommend which city to choose.

  5. You receive the finished report

We deliver the report once the research is complete.

What to know before you submit a request

When the report can help, what it takes into account, and what happens next.

  • Why get a report if you can research the cities yourself?

Information about a city is often spread across different websites and documents. We bring confirmed information about your selected cities together in a consistent format and, if you choose more than one, show the findings side by side. This makes it easier to see the differences and weigh them against your plans.

  • Is a report useful if you are considering only one city?

Yes. For a single city, you receive a detailed review of the topics that apply to your request. If you include several cities, the report also compares the information found for each one.

  • What changes if you are moving with children?

Alongside the general city topics, we also cover schools, daycare, nanny services, activities, clubs, family leisure, and published prices and age requirements. We do not check whether places are currently available, whether admissions are open, or whether a child can enroll.

  • What if reliable public information is unavailable for a topic?

We do not fill gaps with guesses. The report includes only information we could confirm as of the research date, together with its sources and the date each source was checked. If reliable information is limited, we state that limitation clearly.

  • When is the report not enough?

If a question depends on your personal circumstances, such as your immigration eligibility, you will need advice from the relevant qualified professional. The report shows conditions in the selected cities, but it does not provide individual advice.

  • What happens after you submit a request?

Within one working day, we email you to say whether we can accept the request. If we can, the same email gives the price and the expected time to prepare the report. Research begins after payment.
